Young musicians Michael Miller, who played the flugelhorn, a 13-year-old trumpet player Bryce Hayashi treated Star Wars composer John Williams to a performance of the film’s famous theme — right outside his Los Angeles home.

Less than a minute into the rendition, Williams himself opens his door, and eventually walks over to the musicians. “I started to listen. I thought they will never make it, and they did,” Williams says, referring to the high notes in the theme, while shaking the hands of the delighted young musicians.

The moment was caught on video and posted on YouTube, where it’s received more than a million views so far.

Aside from Star Wars, Williams, 84, is known for his work on other classic movies like Jaws, the Indiana Jones series and Jurassic Park.
