Michael Hickey/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Is age 73 too old to be new dad? Apparently, not if you’re Mick Jagger.
The legendary Rolling Stones singer, who turns 73 in two weeks, is expecting his eighth child. This will be his first child with his current girlfriend, 29-year-old ballerina Melanie Hamrick, Billboard and The Sun both report.
A source close to Hamrick tells The Sun, “This is great news. It will be Mick’s eighth child and nothing fazes him. He’s been incredibly supportive.”
The two have been romantically involved since 2014.
Jagger currently has seven children from various marriages and relationships.
Jagger’s bandmate, guitarist Ronnie Wood, 69, and Wood’s wife Sally welcomed twin daughters in late May.
