Bruce Glikas/Bruce Glikas/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) — Lin-Manuel Miranda ended his run in Hamilton at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre Saturday night.

Among those in attendance were U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Jennifer Lopez, Jane Fonda, Rosie O’Donnell, Spike Lee and Mariska Hargitay.

Miranda took his final bow to The West Wing theme.

The creator of the award-winning show, who originated the role of founding father Alexander Hamilton, will be succeeded by his alternate, Javier Muñoz.

Recent Tony Award winner Leslie Odom Jr., who played Aaron Burr, and Phillipa Soo, who portrayed Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton, also delivered their final performances Saturday night.

“I’m leaving because I have other opportunities that are going to need my mental real estate,” Miranda explained last month, according to The New York Times.

Those projects include starring in a sequel to Mary Poppins alongside Emily Blunt, which will keep him in London for much of next year, and finishing The Hamilton Mixtape, an album of Hamilton covers and songs inspired by the show.

Still, Miranda, 36, who won two Tonys for his work on the musical last month, said he wants to rejoin Hamilton again in the future.

“This is a role I am going to be going back to again and again,” he said, according to The New York Times. “I plan to revisit this role a lot.”
