Rashida Jones in “Angie Tribeca”; Katrina Marcinowski/TBS(NEW YORK) — It’s good news for Angie Tribeca.  TBS has renewed the detective comedy, starring Rashida Jones, for a third season, which is set to debut in early 2017. It also picked up a second season of Wrecked, about a group of plane crash survivors. TBS’ sister network, TNT, renewed the drama Animal Kingdom for a second season.

Not so good news for the Mike Epps TV remake of Uncle Buck: It’s been cancelled, four weeks after its debut. The series starred Epps as an irresponsible uncle who becomes a live-in nanny, a role originated by the late John Candy on the big screen in 1989, and one year later by Kevin Meaney on TV – that series lasted a single season. The fate of the series was first revealed by co-star James Lesure, who tweeted Wednesday, “Disappointed. No more @ABCUncleBuck. Cancelled.” The actor thanked the network and the fans, saying, “Proud of what we’ve done. Thx 4 let us entertain u.”

And fresh off their move from St. Louis to Los Angeles, the NFL’s Rams franchise is going the reality TV route. E! has announced it has ordered a series, Hollywood & Football, documenting the move of six Rams players and their families. Six episodes will premiere this fall.
