ABC/Randy Holmes(LOS ANGELES) — Ed Sheeran is the one who introduced actress Courteney Cox to her fiance, Johnny McDaid of the band Snow Patrol.  So it’s no wonder that the Friends star fully expects Ed to entertain guests at their upcoming wedding.

Speaking to the British tabloid The Sun, Courtney says, “We are certainly grateful to Ed for introducing us. I can’t imagine him not playing something at the wedding. It’ll be a musical night.”

So how did Ed hook Courtney up with Johnny?  Well, he lived in Courteney’s pool house while he was making his album, X, and Johnny was one of his collaborators on the project, co-writing several tracks, including the hit “Photograph.”

Johnny’s band Snow Patrol is best known for their 2006 hit “Chasing Cars,” which blew up after it was featured on Grey’s Anatomy.
