Heidi Klum Says She's More Outspoken on “Project Runway” This Season

Eric Liebowitz/NBC(NEW YORK) — Project Runway is now in its 14th season, and Heidi Klum is back as host and judge. The supermodel says a lot of has changed since the show began — including how she does her job.

“The very first season I was very nervous and I was thinking things but I wasn’t saying them,” she recalls on Wednesday’s Live with Kelly and Michael. “Now, having done the show for so many years I just kind of say it. And I want them to succeed. I want them to be good.”

Klum says another Project Runway mainstay has changed his attitude too — the show’s resident mentor, Tim Gunn.

“Tim Gunn, because you think he’s all so prim and proper, he has dropped the F-bomb so many times. Literally! We had to bleep Tim Gunn,” Heidi says. “I couldn’t believe it. They’re driving him up the wall. They’re lazy — some of them — and so he’s just had it.”

Klum of course isn’t seen exclusively on Project Runway: she’s also a judge on America’s Got Talent, which she says is her favorite show on TV right now.

“[It’s] the variety aspect, you know every time having a different act coming onto the stage — a juggler, ventriloquists, singers, dancers, acrobats. It is so jam packed with entertainment that I just love it,” she says of why she loves the show. “And I feel like I’m the luckiest person because I have the best seat in the house; like I’m right there. It’s so much fun.”

The next episode of America’s Got Talent airs Wednesday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time on NBC. A day later, Project Runway airs on Lifetime at 9 p.m. Eastern.
