Fox(LOS ANGELES) — Fantastic Four had anything but a fantastic debut over the weekend.
The poorly reviewed superhero reboot opened in second place, earning an estimated 26.2 million dollars. That total is less than half of what the previous two Fantastic Four movies made during their debut weekends.
Fantastic Four, starring Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell, reportedly had a budget of 120 million.
Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation was the top movie for the second weekend in a row, collecting 29.4 million dollars.
The Jason Bateman-Joel Edgerton thriller The Gift bowed in third place, collecting 12 million dollars. Edgerton wrote and directed the film.
Ricki and the Flash, featuring Meryl Streep as a rock musician, finished in seventh place, with a seven-million-dollar debut.
Shaun the Sheep Movie, based on the animated British TV series, made four million. The Wallace and Gromitspin-off has raised 5.6 million since hitting theaters last Wednesday.
Here are the top 10 movies from Friday through Sunday, with estimated ticket sales, according to Rentrak:

4. Vacation, $9.1 million
5. Ant-Man, $7.8 million
6. Minions, $7.4 million
