Fox(LOS ANGELES) — Here’s a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday:
Fantastic Four — The Marvel superhero team is revived with Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm, Kate Mara as Sue Storm, and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Rated PG-13.
The Gift — Jason Bateman stars as a married man whose former high school acquaintance re-enters his life, causing him major problems. Joel Edgerton wrote, directed and co-stars in the thriller. Rated R.
Ricki and the Flash — Meryl Streep plays a rock star seeking redemption with her family. Streep’s daughterMamie Gummer, Rick Springfield, Kevin Kline and Audra McDonald also star in the Jonathan Demme-directed film. Rated PG-13.
Shaun the Sheep Movie — Britain’s stop-motion animated spin-off of the Wallace and Gromit franchise comes to the big screen. The film debuted Wednesday. Rated PG.
