Jon Stewart’s “Daily Show” Set to Be Donated to the Newseum in D.C.

Comedy Central(WASHINGTON) — Jon Stewart says goodbye to his Daily Show viewers after 16 years Thursday, but his set will live on.

According to Ad Week‘s Fishbowl DC, The Daily Show set is being donated to the Newseum in Washington, D.C.

“We are thrilled to accept the donation of these artifacts to the Newseum collection, because they are part of America’s cultural and media history, telling an important story about how political satire and news as humor made The Daily Show a trusted news source for a generation,” said the Newseum’sCathy Trost on why the set is being accepted.  There’s no word yet on when the set will be on display.

Stewart has been the face of The Daily Show since January of 1999, when he succeeded Craig Kilborn. He’ll be replaced by South African comedian Trevor Noah starting September 28.
