Dreamworks/Paramount Pictures(LOS ANGELES) — Shrek may be one of the most recognized characters in Mike Myers’ filmography, but Chris Farley was originally supposed to play the jolly green ogre.
In fact, before his overdose death in 1997, the SNL veteran had recorded much of his dialogue, but producers decided to recast the part.
Most Farley fans never heard what could have been — until now.
Producer John Garbett has leaked rough storyboard animation featuring Farley voicing Shrek opposite Eddie Murphy doing his thing as Donkey.
