ABC(LOS ANGELES) — Demi Lovato has been going through a tough time since her beloved dog, Buddy, died. But thankfully, she has fans who are supporting her. The singer took to Instagram Friday to thank everyone for their outpouring of kindness.
“We can’t thank you all enough,” she writes on behalf of herself and boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. “This has been the most painful week of my life but because Wilmer and I had so much love and support, I’ve been able to stay strong and will continue to get through this difficult time. The out pour of love and support has been unbelievable and it means the world to us. Love you all tons and tons.”
She accompanied the post with a collage of Buddy snapshots.
Demi announced Tuesday that her fluffy white pup died last Sunday, saying that she and Wilmer were “heartbroken.” She wrote, “He was taken from us way too soon in a tragic accident and though I will never know why this had to happen, I do know that God only puts us through situations that we can handle so with that, together we our staying strong.”
The dog was reportedly killed in a coyote attack, but Demi has yet to confirm how he died.
