Fred Lee/ABC(NEW YORK) — The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe chose Shawn Booth on Monday night’s season finale, and now the couple is engaged to be married. Tuesday on ABC’s Good Morning America, the reality star admitted she always had her eye on the 29-year-old personal trainer from Connecticut.
“You go through the show and I think they try to confuse you, but the whole time I was like, ‘Nope! Still thinking about Shawn,'” Bristowe revealed.
Although the two had to keep their engagement a secret until the finale aired, Booth said he’s happy they can now openly plan for their future.
“Right now, we’re just so excited to finally be able to hang out and do things in public,” he said. “But more importantly, we just want to spend time with our friends and family first and we’re gonna do that for the next month — go to my hometown, go to her hometown — kind of relax and then figure out the long-term plans.”
And no, Bristowe said they haven’t even thought about wedding plans just yet. “We’re really excited to be engaged and be cute,” she added.
