“Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation” Stars Run the Carpet at NYC Premiere

Paramount(NEW YORK) — Producer and star Tom Cruise, plus Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, and the other stars ofMission: Impossible — Rogue Nation hit the red carpet at the movie’s New York City premiere Monday night.

“It’s such a fun character,” says Cruise, who will be seen as super-spy Ethan Hunt for the fifth time when the movie hits theaters Friday. “As a producer, it’s a blast working on it.  We just finished the movie last Saturday at two o’clock, so even finishing the movie was a mission  impossible. It was just a nail-biter.”

Simon Pegg, who plays computer geek-turned field agent Benji Dunn in his third Mission movie, said, “It’s always great fun working with Tom, you know, he’s such a good boss. He…leads from the top down. He keeps everything fun.”

Fun was on the mind of Jeremy Renner — the Avengers alum reprises his Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocolrole of Agent William Brant. “You get these guys together — a lot gets done, and not a lot gets done. We have a little too much fun,” he said.

The movie, which was directed by The Usual Suspects‘ Oscar-winning screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie, also stars Ving Rhames and Rebecca Ferguson.
