Peter Kramer/NBC(LOS ANGELES) — Ben Affleck is on the move following the announcement that he’s splitting with his wife of 10 years,Jennifer Garner.
The Gone Girl star will rent Brooke Shields’ home in Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades after his family returns from Atlanta, where Garner recently began shooting her upcoming film, Miracles From Heaven, according to the New York Post.
The move, however, is expected to be just a temporary arrangement until the estranged couple finish renovating the 8,800-square-foot Pacific Palisades home they bought for $17.5 million in 2009. Sources tell the newspaper they “don’t want to live in a construction zone.”
An additional structure is being built on the property, and it’s speculated that Affleck will eventually reside there.
In spite of their impending divorce, Ben and Jennifer have stated that they will live on the same property in the Pacific Palisades once they return home, but not in the same house, as they continue to co-parent their three kids: daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel.
Shields’ five-bedroom, five-bathroom home is conveniently just a few houses away from Affleck and Garner’s property, sources tell the Post. Shields and her husband, writer Chris Henchy, put the mansion up for rent in June for $30,000 a month.
