ABC/Fred Lee(NEW YORK) — Adam Sandler is one of the stars of the family-friendly film, Pixels. So what’s the film about?
“We were like stud kids at video games in the 80s,” Sandler said of his character on Tuesday’s Live with Kelly and Michael. “Me and Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad’s characters, they go away and we’re all kind of losers now.”
“And then these things attack the world. And the president, Kevin James of course…he calls upon his old buddies to help save the world. And won’t you know it, I think we do,” said Sandler.
Didn’t catch that? Essentially, Sandler, Dinklage and Gad play gamers, who end up down on their luck in life. When aliens begin attacking Earth using throwback video games, such as Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Tetris, the president has to call on his childhood buddies to save the world.
The film, also starring Michelle Monaghan, is out Friday.
