The man was identified as Los Angeles resident Edenilson Steven Valle.

Los Angeles police said they responded to Moore’s house after receiving a 911 call around 5:30 am on Sunday.

Moore’s assistant had a small party at the home, and the man who drowned was one of the guests, authorities said.

Police added that there is no evidence of foul play, and that the investigation is ongoing.

Moore was not home at the time of the incident, according to authorities.

Moore said in a statement obtained by ABC News, “I am in absolute shock. I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news. The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends. I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time.”
