Emmy Nominations Will Be Announced Thursday Morning

Mathew Imaging/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — The nominations for the 67th Emmy Awards will be announced Thursday morning from the SilverScreen Theater at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California. Orange is the New Black‘s Uzo Aduba and So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley will help reveal the nominees.

The announcement is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Eastern time, 8:30 a.m. Pacific time. It will be streamed live on Emmys.com.

AMC’s Mad Men seems likely to earn a nomination for best drama, after ending its run earlier this year. The Fox hip-hop drama Empire also could enter the category after a breakout freshman season. The Americans, Downton Abbey, House of Cards, Orange Is the New Black, and The Good Wife are among the other possible best drama contenders.

One thing is for certain: there will not be a consecutive repeat winner in the category. Breaking Bad, which signed off in 2013, was named best drama last year.

Modern Family is expected to earn the chance to win a record sixth Emmy for outstanding comedy series. Its competition will likely include VeepLouie, Silicon Valley and The Big Bang Theory.

Fox will air the 67th Emmy Awards live from coast to coast on Sunday, September 20, from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Andy Samberg will host.
