Tom Selleck Reaches Tentative Settlement in Water Lawsuit

CBSTom Selleck has reportedly reached a tentative settlement in an alleged water-theft case that went public this week.

Attorneys representing Selleck and the Calleguas Municipal Water District reached the agreement Thursday, Calleguas resources manager Eric Bergh tells the Los Angeles Times. The settlement needs approval from the water district board; a meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday.

The terms of the tentative settlement are confidential until final, according to Bergh, who adds, “We’re happy about it. It’s good news.”

On Monday, Calleguas filed a complaint against the 70-year-old Magnum P.I. and Blue Bloods actor and his wife, Jillie, accusing them of having water from a fire hydrant in Thousand Oaks illegally delivered to their 60-acre ranch in Hidden Valley, outside the boundaries of Calleguas’ service area.
