Why Ryan Reynolds Probably Won't Make Another Film with Blake Lively

Warner Bros.(LOS ANGELES) — Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively met on the set of the 2011 film Green Lantern, but they probably won’t co-star in another film any time soon.

“I would absolutely love to do that, but you know, it’s a different age now,” Reynolds told E! News. “It’s a little harder these days than it was back in the day when a couple could do multiple films together.”

“There’s so much on social media and so much that we know about everybody now,” Reynolds continued. “You could do it if there was a little bit of a mystery there. That’s a tough thing to pull off now. It’s a tough thing for people to not see the personality as opposed to seeing the character.”

“We’re working together on a family. Does that count?” he joked, referring to his daughter James, whom the couple welcomed in January. The two tied the knot in 2012.

“It’s busy, but no one’s complaining, that’s for sure. We’re lucky to get to breathe the rare air of working actors. We’re never apart for more than a week or so, so it’s not terrible.”

If fans want to see Reynolds on screen, they can trek to the theaters on July 10 to see the thriller Self/less.
