Live with Kelly and Michael(NEW YORK) — First, Kelly Ripa went pink. Now it’s blue.
The daytime talk show host showed off her new bright blue locks with a snap on Instagram. She captioned the photo of her blue bob: “Shady’s back, tell a friend.”
On Thursday’s Live with Kelly and Michael, Ripa explained what it took to get her hue blue. “This took almost five hours. We dyed it blue and it turned a lime green…and [my husband] Mark [Consuelos] walks upstairs and he’s like…he’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, you look like the Lucky Charms guy.'”
Her husband may not like the new look, but Ripa says her kids approve. “My sons love it, they think I look like a superhero,” she said.
Ripa, who went pink four weeks ago, explained “I wanted to try blue because I wanted to try pink and I really liked it. I wanted to try red and he [hairstylist Ryan Trygstad] said, ‘Why don’t we do another shocker?'”
