ABC/Craig Sjodin(ATLANTA) — Following the announcement of his split from wife Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck boarded a private plane to Atlanta to reunite with his children following a solo weekend in Los Angeles, according to People magazine.
A little over a week ago, the couple announced they were ending their 10-year marriage, but insisted they were committed to co-parenting their three children, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and son Samuel, 3.
Ben stayed in the L.A. home he shares with his family after the split, which was apparently in the works for some time prior to the announcement.
The Gone Girl actor, in town on business, was spotted riding his motorcycle and picking up coffee at a Starbucks, minus his wedding ring, according to the magazine.
After the L.A. trip, Affleck immediately rejoined his kids in Georgia, where his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner, is shooting the film, Miracles from Heaven. She was reportedly wearing her wedding ring in Atlanta on Monday.
“The minute he was done, he packed up some gifts and got on a plane to see his kids. He is committed to his family. He wants to be with his kids,” a source close to the couple tells People. “It’s important. He wants them to be stable.”
“He spent a great deal of time hanging with the kids,” adds the source. “They had a lot of great activities they were able to do together with the family and separately that he really appreciated.”
