ABC/Lou Rocco(NEW YORK) — Bill Cosby’s former The Cosby Show co-star, Raven-Symone, said Tuesday she still needs time to process her feelings after it was revealed Monday in newly released court documents that Cosby admitted to procuring drugs for use in having sex with women.
“I don’t really like to talk about it that much because he’s the reason I’m on this panel in the first place,” she said on The View. “He gave me my first job. But at the same time, you need the proof and then I’ll be able to give my judgement here or there.”
Cosby has been accused by dozens of women of drugging them and then having sex with them against their will. Monday’s revelation came in an unsealed 2005 court filing that was part of a civil case. Cosby said he obtained seven prescriptions for Quaaludes and answered “yes” when asked if he got them with the intent of giving them to women with whom he wanted to have sex.
The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg also said she needed more time to properly react.
“I don’t like snap judgments because I’ve had snap judgements made on me. So I’m very, very careful,” she said. “And you know, save your texts. Save your nasty comments. I don’t care!”
