Rose McGowan Continues to Call Out Hollywood for Sexism

Grant Lamos IV/WireImage(NEW YORK) — Rose McGowan has no regrets about tweeting a screen shot of a casting note from an upcoming Adam Sandler film.

The note advises those reading for the female role to wear a “form fitting tank that shows off cleavage (push up bras encouraged). And form-fitting leggins or jeans.”

“I just want to make it better for the next girl coming after me to know that she doesn’t have to sell her body and soul just because she wants to be a creative person,” the actress said on Friday’s Good Morning America. “That isn’t the fine you pay at the gate and it shouldn’t be.”

McGowan initially thought she was dropped by her agent for the tweet. She later tweeted that, in fact, her agent had left her agency, and it had nothing to do with McGowan’s tweet.  Even so, she revealed Friday how she initially felt about seemingly being dropped.

“I just wrote back, ‘You’re hilarious.’ That was my response. You’re hilarious like c’mon! Hollywood, get a better script. This one’s predictable,” she said.

Digging in her heels, McGowan added she doesn’t care about possibly being blacklisted from Hollywood because of any fallout.

“I don’t care. Bring it,” she said on GMA. “You wanna play? Let’s play.”
