Annie Leibovitz/Vanity Fair(LOS ANGELES) — A new promo for I Am Cait shows Caitlyn Jenner explaining why she decided to document her transition in the eight-part docu-series.
“Why did I decide to do a series? I am telling my story,” Jenner says in the clip released by E! Friday.
The former Olympian and reality star continues: “People don’t understand looking into the mirror and nothing seems right. Putting on clothes that you just don’t identify with. This is about getting to be who you really are.”
The clip shows Jenner hugging friends, and her daughter, Kylie.
“We’re going to talk about everything,” Jenner says. “We’re going to do a lot of fun things for the first time. We’re going to go shopping for the first time. Maybe even some boy stuff, like ride a motorcycle — because girls do that too!”
“It’s going to be quit a journey, we are going to do some good,” she concludes.
Caitlyn Jenner made her debut at the beginning of the month on the cover of Vanity Fair.
I Am Cait premieres July 26 on E!
