“Seinfeld” Installation, Featuring Jerry's Apartment, Opens in NYC

Spotted Dog Entertainment(NEW YORK) — Wednesday was an exciting day for Seinfeld fans in the New York City area. Not only did the beloved 1990s sitcom make its online streaming debut on Hulu, but an installation dedicated to Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer opened in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.

The installation features a recreation of Jerry’s apartment, plus memorabilia from popular episodes.

Larry Thomas, who played the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld, was on hand Wednesday to pose for photos and utter his character’s famous line, “No soup for you!” He explained why the installation is a must-see for fans: “For people who love Seinfeld, you’ve seen so much comedy in this setting that I think it’s going to make people walk in and laugh.”

Thomas believes Seinfeld is still popular because it has a universal theme. He explained, “It was really just about unveiling how we treat each other and stuff.”

The installation will remain open through the weekend.
