How Does Dennis Haysbert Feel About Being Referenced in Kanye West's Hit, “All Day”?

Dennis Haysbert(NEW YORK) — One of the most memorable lines of Kanye West’s latest hit, “All Day,” is when the rapper says, “You a fake Denzel like the Allstate n****.” Yeezy was referencing Dennis Haysbert, who stars in the Allstate TV commercials.  So how does Haysbert feel about the namecheck?

“Well, he didn’t say my name, but he did say Allstate’s, and that’s a problem,” the actor told ABC Radio Wednesday night at the New York City premiere of Ted 2.  “I think he mentioned Denzel [Washington] too.  So he’s got a couple of entities that he’s got to deal with. God help him.”

Haysbert is one of the stars of Ted 2, out Friday. He portrays a fertility doctor who has to tell Ted and his wife they cannot conceive a child, which they’re desperate to do to save their marriage.

Haysbert added that writer/director Seth MacFarlane, who also voices the hilariously offensive teddy bear, made sure he got his scene right.

“Actually, I wanted to push the envelope a little bit more, but he said it’s better if you just keep it real. And that’s where the comedy came in. So I trusted him. He trusted me. And we collaborated on a really good scene,” said Haysbert.

Ted 2 also stars Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried and Giovanni Ribisi.
