ABC/Fred Lee(NEW YORK) — Kaitlyn Bristowe got a lot of flack from viewers Monday night when on the Bachelorette she slept with contestant, Nick Viall, after a one-on-one date.
Bristowe tells ABC Radio she’s OK with all of the criticism she’s received throughout the season on her dating choices.
“I knew going into this I was not going to make everybody happy …especially being who I am and being true to myself,” she says. “I have a strong personality and I do things maybe people don’t agree with but I stand behind them so I knew there was going to be some backlash. I knew I wasn’t going to please everybody.”
Bristowe admits that being the Bachelorette was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but it’s one she says she doesn’t need to experience again.
“In my past dating experience I knew to date only one guy so this was very foreign to me and now I still want to stick to that,” she adds, with a laugh. “I learned I only want to date one guy because that was just too much.”
Word has it Bristowe is dating only one guy. She accidentally may have spoiled the entire season of The Bachelorette earlier this month when she recorded herself on the video app Snapchat. Bristowe showed herself in bed next to season 11 hopeful Shawn Booth, indicating he’s likely this season’s winner — or perhaps that Bristowe didn’t pick him to be her hubby-to-be, but hooked up with him anyway. Bristowe later deleted the video.
So far, ABC hasn’t addressed the situation.
