(LOS ANGELES) — Will there be a sequel to the Disney/Pixar smash hit Inside Out? Maybe, maybe not.
A follow-up to the animated film, set inside the head of an 11-year-old girl, is not necessarily inevitable, according to writer/director Pete Docter, who tells ABC Radio it “really depends on a lot of factors.”
“Never say never,” he adds. “But I’m really always intrigued by what’s new, and what can I trace down next that we’ve never seen before.”
If he does do a sequel, it won’t be for a while — Inside Out took five years to make.
Inside Out earned more than 90 million dollars over the weekend during its first three days of release.
