ABC/Bob D’Amico(LOS ANGELES) — ABC’s latest summer drama will lift off on Thursday night.
The Astronaut Wives Club, based on the book of the same name by Lily Koppel, will follow seven women who were married to the original NASA astronauts.
Executive producer Stephanie Savage says these women became so famous that they were scrutinized by the media over their behavior, their parenting, and even their cooking.
However, she notes, “They are the women’s movement. What they were doing was really forging a path and figuring out how to live life a little more equally.”
The Astronaut Wives Club premieres Thursday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time on ABC.
