How Does Judd Apatow Feel About His Wife Leslie Mann's Sex Scenes?

ABC/Randy Holmes(NEW YORK) — Bridesmaids producer Judd Apatow is married to one of the funniest women in Hollywood, Leslie Mann. The two have worked closely together on many films, but there’s one actor in particular who has worked just a bit more closely with Mann on-screen: Paul Rudd.

“It’s uncomfortable,” Apatow said on Good Morning America Wednesday of watching Rudd play his wife’s husband in films so often. “I keep saying, ‘Why do I keep writing sex scenes for Paul Rudd and my wife?’ I should actually omit them from the script.”

Rudd and Apatow’s real-life wife Mann have shared the silver screen as a married couple in two of Apatow’s movies, Knocked Up and This Is 40.

“I don’t mind it because I know they don’t enjoy it,” Apatow added. “So in a way it’s like torturing people by forcing them to make out.”

The director has a new book out called Sick in the Head: Conversations About Life and Comedy, which is a collection of Apatow’s most memorable conversations with comedians since he was a teenager trying to make his way into the comedy world. The book features comedy’s biggest legends like Jerry Seinfeld, John Stewart, Adam Sandler and Steve Martin.
