What Did Kim Kardashian Get Kanye West for His Birthday?

Timothy White/E!(LOS ANGELES) — Kim Kardashian spared no expense to throw her husband Kanye West the perfect 38th birthday party on Monday. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star rented out the entire Staples Center in Los Angeles.

A source tells E! News, “Kim rented out the Staples Center so Kanye and his boys could play an NBA-style game with real refs and Laker girls!”

Retired NBA star John Salley was the announcer, and Houston Rockets player James Harden and rapper 2 Chainz were the coaches. John Legend sang the national anthem, adds the source.

Kanye was joined on the hardwood by his music buddies, including Justin Bieber, Kylie Jenner’s rumored boyfriend Tyga, and NBA stars Russell Westbrook and John Wall, notes the source, who adds Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Carmelo Anthony, Shaquille O’Neal and Scottie Pippen all made videos that showed up on the jumbotron.

Kim’s tab for the event, according to the source: $110,000.

Mrs. West also surprised Kanye by building a basketball court in their own backyard, adds the source: “He’s obsessed w basketball.”

Kim’s sister Khloé shared an Instagram picture on Monday of Kanye, surrounded by his his buds, holding a basketball and wearing a jersey that reads “West.” It’s captioned, “Kim rented out staples b***h!!! Him and his boys are going to ball!!!! Happy birthday Yeezy!!!!”

Earlier in the day, Kim took to Instagram to send birthday wishes. “Happy Birthday to my best friend in the entire world! You are the most amazing husband & dad! You inspire me every single day! You make all of your dreams reality & it’s fascinating to be by your side & watching it all happen! You have a heart of gold! Have the best birthday ever! #SWISH,” she captioned a black-and-white photo of the two.
