Is a “Gilmore Girls” Reboot in the Works?

Mitchell Haaseth/NBC(NEW YORK) — With Full House being brought back to life in the form of Fuller House to premiere on Netflix next year, could Gilmore Girls get the same treatment?

“There’s nothing in the works at the moment…If it ever happened, I promise we’d do it correctly,” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, according to Variety.

“Nobody here hates each other, which is very important,” she added. “It would have to be the right everything, the right format, the right timing.”

Sherman-Palladino was taking part in a panel with Gilmore Girls‘ stars Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledeland many others when she made the statement.

Fuller House is set to star Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber. Bure’s character will reportedly be a widowed mother of three, who has her sister Stephanie and friend Kimmy — played by Sweetin and Barber, respectively — move in to help. Original series stars Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier and John Stamos will also appear. It’s slated for a 2016 debut.
