(NEW YORK) — Mindy Kaling and her ex-turned-friend B.J. Novak are about to release a book together after the two signed a deal with Penguin Random House.
According to E! News, the two Office co-stars are working on a comedy book. There’s no word yet on when the book will be released.
Still, Kaling did tweet about the project. “Thanks for asking about the book @bjnovak & I are working on! It’s not a tell-all, sadly. I can say it’s going to be really funny and cool,” she said.
“I swear I’m not trying to be mysterious! We are just starting work on it,” she added. “Here’s a cool pic of us brainstorming ideas.”
The photo was of two cartoon frogs sitting at a table eating cookies.
Kaling knows that it’s unusual that she’s remained very friendly with her ex.
“I will freely admit: My relationship with B.J. Novak is weird as hell,” she said in the June issue of InStyle magazine. “He is not my boyfriend, but he is not my best friend. I guess you could describe our relationship as a ‘romantically charged camaraderie with loud arguments,’ but I don’t think Facebook would accept this as a new status.”
