Bruce Jenner Reveals New Look and New Name: Caitlyn

ABC News(NEW YORK) — Earlier this year, Bruce Jenner revealed that he was transgender.  Now, he’s revealing his new feminine look and name. Jenner, who will now go by Caitlyn, displays his new look on cover of the July issue of Vanity Fair.

Caitlyn sports long, sandy brown hair and poses in a white leotard bustier, perched on a stool with her arms behind her back and her legs crossed.

In a tweet from her new Caitlyn Jenner Twitter account, she declares, “I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me.”

In the story, Jenner says: “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.'”

Vanity Fair’s also posted a behind-the-scenes video from the photo shoot, that also shows Jenner wearing a dark, strapless dress, a floor-length sequined gown with a plunging back, and other outfits.  “Bruce always had to tell a lie,” Jenner says in a voice-over narration.  “He was always living that lie.  Every day, he always had a secret from morning ’til night.  Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets.”

The video ends with Caitlyn saying, “Soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.”

Jenner is also currently undergoing facial feminization surgery, which was revealed Sunday night on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.  Jenner was preparing to undergo surgery at the time the episode was recorded, according to stepdaughter Kim Kardashian, who said, “Have you guys talked to Bruce? Did you hear he’s having a surgery this week?”

Khloe also commented on the transition, saying, “Everything with Bruce is happening really quickly.”

In the E! special About Bruce, which aired last month, Jenner said of the surgeries, “It’s a lot of work, you do it in stages,” citing changes to his forehead and jaw, among other things.

Kim asked during the special whether Jenner had any surgery planned to fully become a woman. “Oh, the little thing down there?” Jenner candidly responded.  “That’s kind of the last thing you can do,” Jenner said, adding he didn’t plan to have sex change surgery at the time the special was recorded a few months back.  Jenner plans to document the transition in an E! series premiering July 26.
