James O’Mara(NEW YORK) — New details have emerged about the health issue that has led to Joni Mitchell’s hospitalization.
Billboard and Showbiz411 both report that sources have told them the lauded singer/songwriter suffered a brain aneurysm.
Showbiz411 further reports Mitchell has been moved to a rehabilitation facility, and that some of Joni’s friends are saying Leslie Morris, her longtime friend who was recently granted conservatorship over the 71-year-old musician, is trying to set things up so Mitchell can rehab at home.
The website quotes a friend as saying, “It’s a long way to go, but she can do it,” and that Mitchell is having difficulty speaking, but is able to communicate.
Mitchell was hospitalized March 31 after she was found unconscious at her Los Angeles-area home.
