Lindsay Lohan Off Probation After Finishing Community Service

ABC News(LOS ANGELES) — Lindsay Lohan’s probation stemming from a 2012 Santa Monica, California, traffic crash has now been terminated after her attorney provided proof she completed her community service.

The actress was not on hand for a progress report hearing Thursday, but she posted an Instagram picture of a TMZ story celebrating her finishing 125 hours of service for the 2012 incident. The clerk of courts in New York confirmed to ABC station KABC that her probation was finished.

“Hard work pays off. Thank you to all those that allowed me to volunteer while in nyc. God bless you all. Amen,” she wrote.

Lohan was ordered earlier in the month to come to New York City to complete the service. She had been living in London.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mark Young told Lohan’s lawyer in early May that she had to return to Brooklyn to complete her community service by May 28 or face “consequences.” That’s exactly what she did.

Lohan had been charged with three misdemeanors, including reckless driving and allegedly lying to Santa Monica police, in connection with a June 2012 traffic accident that involved her Porsche.
