George Clooney Says Latest Prank Has 'Crossed the Line'

ABC/Randy Holmes(LONDON) — He may have walked down the aisle, something many fans thought he’d never do, but George Clooney is still the same guy who loves a good prank.

“I’m doing one now that I can’t tell you about, but in a year you are going to hear I’ve been arrested — I’m not kidding, because I think I’ve crossed the line,” he tells BBC host Graham Norton on Friday’s The Graham Norton Show.

The Tomorrowland star adds, “But I have a wife; she’s a barrister. I’ll be fine!”

George and Amal Clooney, who is a human rights lawyer, married in Italy last September.

George is notorious for pranking Hollywood. Just last year, he pranked Amy Poehler and Tina Fey after they made fun of him at the Golden Globes as hosts. Clooney told Good Morning America that he struck back by sending them a fake letter written on stationary bearing his friend Matt Damon’s name.

The note said that Damon was really upset over a joke they told on stage at the awards show. A few days later, Damon — who knew nothing about the prank — received two fruit baskets from the ladies, with two notes attached. One note apologized, while the other, Clooney said, read, “This is a prank from George Clooney and tell him we’re grown-a** comedians. And you better step your game up!”
