On Monday, his girlfriend at the time of his death, Glee co-star Lea Michele, posted a sweet message to her late ex.
“I know you’re serenading everyone right now.. We love you Cory! Happy Birthday,” she wrote with a picture of Monteith on the drums.
This isn’t the first tribute to Monteith from Michele. Earlier this year, the 28-year-old actress took the jersey worn by Monteith’s character, Finn Hudson, as the show came to a close for good.
“One last thing,” she wrote on Twitter, along with a snapshot.
Monteith died in the summer of 2013 from mixed drug toxicity.
