Lindsay Lohan Could Face ‘Consequences’ for Slacking on Community Service

ABC News(LOS ANGELES) — Lindsay Lohan is in hot water for completing less than 10 hours of her court-ordered community service, and the judge has given her just three more weeks or “there will be consequences.”

Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, appeared in court on Thursday in Los Angeles and told a judge that the troubled 28-year-old actress has served just 9 hours and 45 minutes of the 125 hours of community service she was ordered to complete in February, according to TMZ.

Holley reportedly told the judge that Lohan, who’s been living in the U.K. since appearing in the London production of Speed the Plow, has been unable to complete her service because the community service center changed locations and she has to hire a car service for the three-hour round trip.

Holley said Lohan would like to complete her remaining community service in Brooklyn, New York.

The judge agreed to allow Lohan to travel to New York and complete her community service work there, but warned that if she doesn’t complete it by May 28, “there will be consequences.”

Lohan was ordered to perform community service as part of her sentence for the 2012 case involving her crash with a truck on the Pacific Coast Highway.
