(NEW YORK) — What’s the difference between Kirstie Alley and a Christie Ally?
The Internet needs help distinguishing between the two similarly sounding nouns, so we’re here to help.
Kirstie Alley is the actress from Cheers who woke up Friday morning to find herself one of the most talked about people on the Internet for something she did not have a part of.
The other Christie ally is David Wildstein, a high school classmate of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and an official at the Port Authority. Wildstein pleaded guilty on Friday to his role in “Bridgegate” where he allegedly helped plot the closing of lanes at the George Washington Bridge in 2013.
After a long week and waking up to a headline such as “Christie Ally Expected to Plead Guilty in New Jersey Bridge Lane Closings,” some people were left with their heads spinning.
How did the actress wind up tangled in Bridgegate?
So many people confusing Kirstie Alley with “Christie Ally.” It’s almost like nobody knows her name.

After having her fine name dragged through the mud, we’ll let Kirstie Alley (the actress) have the last word:
And THIS is how rumors once again get started…jeez…hasn’t even been a week since my last accusation…
