Their divorce was finalized on Monday with a settlement that reportedly ended months of divorce proceedings.
“Public divorces can be harsh and cruel. We apologize to our families and friends for any hurt and embarrassment we have caused,” they said in a joint statement obtained by ABC News.
“We have come to an amicable agreement and are moving on. There are private and personal family sensitivities to consider and we retract any hurtful comments made in haste and distaste. We wish each other and our families well,” the statement continued.
They wed in January 2014. Six months later, Anderson filed for divorce, but asked a judge to dismiss her petition the following August. Anderson filed for divorce a second time earlier this year.
