“Dancing with the Stars: 10th Anniversary Special” Airs Tuesday

ABC(LOS ANGELES) — Dancing with the Stars will be celebrating its past on Tuesday night with a 10th anniversary special.

The special will feature performances by former and current cast members and pro dancers.

Celebrities scheduled to take part include Meryl Davis, Alfonso Ribeiro, Katherine Jenkins, Chelsea Kane, Kristi Yamaguchi, Amy Purdy, Maria Menounos, Melissa Rycroft, Kelly Monaco, Donald Driver, Hines Ward, Kurt Warner, Jacoby Jones, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin and Jerry Rice.

The special will begin with the series’ biggest-ever opening number, with the judges, hosts, and the current season-20 pro dancers performing alongside 15 past celebrity contestants, plus seven returning pros.

Patti LaBelle, who competed this season until her elimination last week, will perform her hit “Lady Marmalade” with Lil’ Kim and Amber Riley.

Karina Smirnoff is one of the vets who is returning and she can’t wait. “I love every second of it,” she tells ABC Radio, adding, “I’ve been missing the show. I’m having spray-tan withdrawal.”

Smirnoff says returning for the special and seeing old friends is like going to a “high school reunion” because everyone is so close.

“It’s one of those shows that ten years from now, we’re all still gonna be close, we’re all still gonna call each other and send random texts,” says Smirnoff.

ABC’s Dancing with the Stars: 10th Anniversary Special
airs at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
