“American Sniper”’s Cory Hardrict Explains Why He'll Never Leave Wife Tia Mowry-Hardrict

Warner Bros.(NEW YORK) — On Monday, American Sniper actor Cory Hardrict and his wife, Instant Mom actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict, celebrated seven years of marriage on different coasts.

Hardrict told ABC Radio in New York City Monday, “My wife is back in L.A. because she’s working right now but she’ll be in New York in a few days, promoting her cooking show [Tia Mowry at Home on the Cooking Channel], and other things that she’s doing, her book [Whole New You].”

So, instead the couple took to Instagram to send each other heartfelt messages. Hardrict said he sent “her some nice roses today” and later this week they’ll have “a nice candlelight dinner.”

Hardrict was in New York to promote his latest film, Brotherly Love, where he stars opposite Keke Palmer. The two have been the subject of on set romance rumors, but the actor said he has no plans to call it quits on his marriage…ever.

“The thing is we’ve been together for almost 15 years now, ever since I stepped off the plane in L.A. And she was with me in my bottom, with no money and living in a studio apartment in the corner. And it wasn’t my studio,” he explained. “She’s seen it all so that’s why it’s like I’ll never leave my wife or do anything to betray that bond that we have because I know it’s real and a lot of things you don’t know in this world who likes you for you. Like it takes a while to get to know people and I know she’s down.”

Rumors started after Palmer reportedly said she wanted to marry Hardrict in an interview. Mowry-Hardrict then tweeted and later deleted: “Saying you like a married man in an interview is not cute… Just saying…'” Later, Palmer told Wendy Williams that her statements were misinterpreted and she was describing how she felt as a 10-year-old girl.

Brotherly Love, also starring singer Macy Gray, hits theaters Friday.
