David Letterman Draws A-List Stars for Final “Late Show” Broadcast

Jeffrey R. Staab/CBS(NEW YORK) — The biggest stars will visit David Letterman for a farewell chat as the longtime late night talk show host enters his final weeks as the host of Late Show.

This week, Letterman will welcome Sarah Jessica Parker, Billy Crystal, Michael J. Fox, Kevin James and Alec Baldwin, among others. Musical guests include country music singer Chris Stapleton, Tracy Chapman, John Mayer and more.

For Letterman’s final 28 shows, also expect to see George Clooney, Robert Downey, Jr., Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Michael Keaton, Steve Martin, Bill Murray, Julia Roberts, Ray Romano, Paul Rudd, Jerry Seinfeld, Martin Short, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Oprah Winfrey, Norah Jones, and Mumford and Sons, plus more.

It will be interesting to see whether Bill Murray will be Letterman’s final guest — he was Letterman’s first guest on Late Night with David Letterman‘s NBC debut in 1982, and again when Late Show with David Letterman debuted on CBS in 1993.

Letterman, whose late-night run on both NBC and CBS totals 33 years, will host his final Late Show May 20.
