Neilson Barnard/Getty Images(VANCOUVER, British Columbia) — Ryan Reynolds escaped injury when he was the victim of a hit-and-run in a Vancouver hotel parking lot on Friday.
Vancouver police Const. Brian Montague tells CTV News in Canada that authorities are investigating the incident, in which the actor was hit by a car as he was leaving the Shangri-La Hotel parking lot. There were no injuries.
Police could not say whether the driver has been identified or located, though Montague states they “have an idea” who the driver was.
Reynolds’ rep told ABC Radio in a statement: “While walking, Ryan was struck by a paparazzi driving a car through an underground parking garage. The man fled the scene. Ryan is okay.”
Reynolds is in Vancouver to film his upcoming movie, Deadpool, opening next February.
