“The Whispers” – ABC/Bob D’Amico(NEW YORK) — ABC has announced its summer lineup, and it includes four new series.
500 Questions premieres on May 20. The game show from Mark Burnett features the smartest people in the country attempting to answer 500 of the most difficult general knowledge questions ever devised.
The suspenseful drama The Whispers debuts on June 1. It stars Lily Rabe as Claire Bennigan, an FBI child specialist called in to investigate someone or something called “Drill” that is manipulating children to commit unthinkable acts.
Celebrity Family Feud, a primetime celebrity version of the game show Family Feud, kicks off on June 21. The six-episode series will feature celebrities competing with their families to raise money for charity.
Killer robot combat comes to primetime when BattleBots premieres on June 21. The series features homemade robots fighting each other in a single-elimination, tournament-style format. Robots of all sizes will battle each other until there is one champion.
These series join returning shows The Bachelorette, which premieres on May 18; Celebrity Wife Swap, back on May 20; Extreme Weight Loss, returning on May 26; Mistresses, coming back with a special two-hour premiere on June 18; Rookie Blue, back on June 25; and a two-night premiere of Bachelor in Paradise on Aug. 2 and on Aug. 3.
