Giuliana Rancic Says She's Leaving Los Angeles, Relocating to Chicago

Andrew Eccles/Style(NEW YORK) — Giuliana Rancic is leaving Los Angeles and moving to Chicago. And it’s not because of the social media scuffle caused by her recent comments on E!’s Fashion Police. It’s because she wants to slow down and enjoy more time with her husband, Bill Rancic, and son, Duke.

Rancic, who plans to make the move this summer, told ABC News that her 2-year-old son “knows when mommy is not home.”

“Now that he’s at that age, it really is the perfect time to slow down a bit,” she said. “In August, I get to make Chicago my home base, which is something Bill and I decided on a long time ago. It was a conversation I had with my bosses at E! a long time ago. That was always the understanding and I’m excited about that. That, in itself, will slow me down a bit. I just want to be more settled.”

“I will never regret spending more time with my son and my husband,” Rancic continued. “That’s something that I crave is family. I’ve worked hard to get to a place so that I can walk my son to school every day and still do my work.”

Rancic’s drew online backlash recently when she said Disney star Zendaya’s dreadlocked hair on the Oscars red carpet smelled like “patchouli oil. Or weed.” She later apologized for the comment.

Giuliana and Bill wed in 2007.
