Freberg often teamed up with Mel Blanc to provide the voices for many classic Looney Tunes cartoons.

Freberg’s voiceover credits include the Junyer Bear character in the 1948 Looney Tunes cartoon What’s Brewin’, Bruin, and he played the three pigs, the wolf and the singing narrator in the 1957 Looney Tunes classic Three Little Bops.

Among his TV credits, Freberg helped create and write the 1950s puppet comedy Time for Beany.

The Los Angeles native also recorded hit records, including St. George and the Dragonet, a 1953 send-up of the series Dragnet, and had a successful career in radio.

In 1958, he opened his own ad agency, Freberg Ltd., and became known for his irreverent commercials.

Freberg is also known for his comedy album Stan Freberg Presents The United States of America.

Besides his children, he’s also survived by his wife, Hunter, and a granddaughter.
