Phaedra Parks Said Other “Real Housewives” Haven't Been Supportive After Husband Went to Jail

Quantrell Colbert/Bravo(NEW YORK) — When Phaedra Parks’ estranged husband Apollo Nida went to jail for eight years for fraud charges, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star said she didn’t have the support of her fellow castmembers, except for two.

When asked if the other Housewives have been supportive throughout the ordeal, Parks says on an upcoming episode of The Steve Harvey Show, “They really haven’t been.”

“Well, I can’t say all of them haven’t been,” she clarifies on Monday’s show. “Porsha [Williams] and Nene [Leakes] have been very supportive, but they have been through similar situations. Not like mine, no prison or anything like that, but they’ve had situations in their marriages and relationships that were very difficult that played out in public.”

Leakes divorced Gregg Leakes in 2011 after 13 years of marriage, only to remarry in 2013. Also, Williams went through a much-publicized divorce from former NFL player Kordell Stewart. The two finalized their divorce in 2013, with Williams later alleging she endured domestic violence during the marriage. Stewart denied those claims.

Parks, who was previously close with Kandi Burrus on the series, says on Steve Harvey that she was surprised that Leakes has been there for her because the two had a contentious relationship in the past. “Nene, you know, she has been the person who has called me every day, sent me texts just to make sure I was okay and just really been very supportive. You know, we’re not the best of friends, but she has been a wonderful friend throughout this ordeal,” she adds.

Parks and Nida, who wed in 2009, have two young sons, Dylan and Ayden. Parks filed for divorce last October while Nida was in jail.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
