“Scandal” Recap: B613 Lives and Olivia Gets Someone Off Death Row

ABC/Adam Taylor(NEW YORK) — On Thursday’s episode of ABC’s Scandal, Attorney General David Rosen was still trying to bring a case against B613 and he asked former B613 head Jake Ballard to testify in exchange for immunity. Ballard said he couldn’t do it and warned Rosen to “drop this case it or I’ll drop it for you.”

Still, Rosen convinced three former B613 agents to testify and put them in a safe house to protect them until trial. But when all of them turn up dead, Rosen, Charlie, Huck and Quinn assumed Jake killed them. So they decided to kill Jake.

Meanwhile, Congressman Reed stopped by Olivia Pope and Associates because he wanted her services to get his father off of death row. His father, George, allegedly killed a schoolteacher, who was having an affair with his teenage daughter, Jamie. Jamie then hung herself and revealed the affair in a suicide note.

The congressman suggested that Olivia look to see if the teacher had other victims. He did. The congressman then suggested Olivia look into the schoolteacher’s wife. They did and found a gun in her basement. After testing the ballistics, the gun was a perfect match, but because there was no rust found on the weapon, Liv thought someone planted it and brought the news to the congressman. He then admitted that he in fact was the killer. “I’ve tried to take responsibility for this but he will not let me,” Congressman Reed told Olivia. He later turned himself in for the crime.

Later when Rosen went home for the evening, his assistant Holly walked him to his car. Jake was also in the garage and aimed a gun at Rosen, but really he was aiming it at Holly, who apparently is also B613. In fact, she was the one who killed all of Rosen’s witnesses. So Jake killed Holly before she could kill anymore people.

The episode ends with Olivia’s new boy toy, Franklin, knocking on her door…but he looks different. Once the door opens up further, Liv’s dad Rowan was standing right there. Is Franklin part of B613 too?

Scandal returns April 16.
